We enjoy making chocolate peanut butter eggs. While home during this holiday I helped my mom make make this mouth watering Easter pastime. Can you really just have one? :-)
Here is the recipe:
1/4 lb. butter softened
16 oz. cream peanut butter
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 lb. confections' sugar
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
12 oz. mil chocolate candy melts
Mix the butter and cream cheese together. Add the confectioners' sugar and mix. Add the peanut butter, vanilla, and salt and mix until well blended. Refrigerate this mix for at least one hour. Form the peanut butter mixture into eggs and refrigerate for another hour. Next, melt the chocolate in the microwave and dip each egging in the chocolate and coat to cover. Lay the chocolate eggs on wax paper to harden.
